Novoaltaysk (Russian: Новоалта́йск), known as Chesnokovka (Чесноковка) before 1962, is a town in Altai Krai, Russia, located on the right bank of the Ob River across from Barnaul. Population: 60,015 (2002 Census); 51,000 (1974); 9,000 (1939).
