On this release from Marian McPartland's Halcyon label, the veteran pianist heads a straightahead all-female quintet that also features the excellent guitarist Mary Osborne, altoist Vi Redd, bassist Lynn Milano and drummer Dottie Dodgion. For the live performance they play eight familiar standards including "Now's the Time," "In a Mellotone," "I'll Remember April" and "But Beautiful."
