Nippon Seikō K.K. (Japanese 日本精工株式会社 Nippon Seikō Kabushiki-gaisha; English NSK Ltd.), listed in the Nikkei 225, ISIN JP3720800006, is a Japanese company headquartered in Tokyo. The firm was established in 1916.
NSK produces all kinds of bearings, automotive components, linear guides, ball screws, mechatronic products and lubrication systems and distributes them around the world. The company also offers associated services. It has more than 23,000 employees who form a worldwide technology network consisting of over 40 production plants. Every day, they manufacture approximately three million new bearings with the NSK brand.
The company invests more than €60 million in research and development each year. The Group has its own research and development centres on every continent. NSK’s products are considered to be extremely reliable, resistant, durable and energy-efficient.
Bearings made by NSK are used in a wide range of industries. They can be found in machine tools, wind turbines, industrial and domestic pumps, compressors and much more. NSK’s product portfolio comprises everything from miniature bearings with a one-millimetre bore to bearings with a diameter of five metres.
NSK Europe Ltd. is a manufacturer of high-precision bearings, linear technology, automotive components and steering systems in Europe.

NSK was established in Tokyo in 1916, when it became the first company to produce bearings in Japan. In 1963, NSK opened its first-ever sales office outside Japan in Düsseldorf. 13 years later, the Düsseldorf office relocated to Ratingen, which is now home to the company’s main German site. At the time, NSK concentrated primarily on producing and distributing bearings. Other products were added later, such as linear technology applications and automotive components. In 1990, NSK Ltd. Japan purchased the UPI Group including all of RHP’s production plants in England and the German town of Munderkingen (company: Neuweg Fertigung GmbH). In 1994, a decision was made to rename the company NSK-RHP Europe; the sales organisations in Germany, England, France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands were also renamed NSK-RHP. RHP was removed from all company names in 2001. Since then, the whole Group has used the internationally renowned name NSK.

NSK bought the RHP brand of bearings in 1990.
NSK has also made big developments in spherical roller bearings and on the Continuously variable transmission (CVT).
NSK is a World Bearing Association (WBA) member.
