Nudd

Lludd;
[Welsh, silver hand]

Legendary Welsh hero, noted in the Triads as one of the three most generous men in Wales, along with his two cousins, Rhydderch Hael and Mordaf Hael. Although early genealogies treat him as a historical figure, he appears to be derived from the early British god Nodons, worshipped at the shrine of Lydney Park, and a cognate of the Irish divine king Nuadu Airgetlám. His two sons are Edern and Gwyn ap Nudd. Confusingly, Nudd may also be known as Lludd, apparently from an alliterative assimilation with his sometime epithet N[-Ll-]udd Llaw Ereint. It is difficult, therefore, to separate him from the other figures named Lludd, such as the son of Beli Mawr in Cyfranc Lludd a Llefelys.
