Plot

One of Greek director Nikos Tsiforos' best films, this striking drama concerns an embittered lighthouse keeper named Artemis (Yiorgos Foundas), who had been a cargo ship mechanic before being wrongly accused of theft and sent to prison. On a stormy night, the same ship is in peril near his lighthouse, and Artemis' rage and hate nearly lead him to cause the ship to sink until he is shown the immorality of his actions by one of the lighthouse's other residents, the pretty Angela (Smaroula Youli).
