O-I Limited (formerly United Glass) loves to hear the clink (and even crash) of beer bottles in pubs around the UK; it probably made the bottles making the noise. The leading glass container manufacturer for the UK spirits business, United Glass operates two manufacturing plants -- one in Harlow and the other in Alloa. Other operations include glass packaging for premium spirits and glass recycling. Major customers include Anheuser Busch, Diageo, and InBev. The company, which has operations in more than 10 European countries, is subsidiary of Owens-Illinois, Europe's largest glassmaker.
