Loosely based on the Russian novel "Oblomov" written by Ivan Goncharov in 1859, this film exchanges Oblomov for Nicklaus Nepro (Erhard Koren), a former engineer who made good on an invention and now lolls around his apartment in his bathrobe, surrounded by books, television sets, and lots of food and drink. When a documentary filmmaker comes to record Nepro's lifestyle and habitat, the filmmaker has competition of sorts from a television crew that also shows up to do a live interview with Nepro -- who is excited that he will be able to watch himself on his multiple television sets. The docu-maker films the television video crew doing their job, and they, in turn, film the documentary in formation, creating a media chaos that somehow fits Nepro's own chosen lifestyle. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi
