The Tampa Bay Devil Rays' best season was 2004, when they climbed out of the cellar and finished only 21 games under .500. Management banished the devil, brought in bright new colors and some new players, and shocked the baseball world by winning the American League pennant. The Phillies, whose last World Series appearance was five years before the Devil Rays were born, staged their second straight remarkable comeback to take the division title. Cole Hamels faces off against Scott Kazmir as the World Series begins tonight at 8 PM EDT at Tampa Bay, on Fox.
