The Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) increases job opportunities and removes employment barriers for adults and youth with disabilities. It provides technical assistance, strategy and practices development, policy analysis, and education to increase the number of people with disabilities who work or are entrepreneurs. ODEP's programs include Preparing the Workplace for Everyone, Employer Assistance and Recruiting Network, Workforce Recruitment Program, Job Accommodation Network, and Small Business and Self Employment for People with Disabilities. It also awards grants and publishes information for job seekers and employers. Congress established ODEP as part of Department of Labor in 2001.
