The Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA) wants everyone to get a better education. FSA makes sure that all eligible Americans have access to federal grants, loans, and work-study programs for college. The group provides about $83 billion to more than 10 million college students annually. FSA has offices in nearly a dozen cities in addition to its Washington, DC, headquarters. It spreads the word about available funds through fact sheets (Why Go to College, Myths About Financial Aid), brochures (Looking for Student Aid, Loan Forgiveness for Teachers), Web sites, and call centers. FSA is part of the Department of Education.
