The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is dedicated to helping refugees, persons granted asylum, and their families. The agency provides support through offerings such as the refugee resettlement program, medical assistance, social services, and programs for survivors of torture. Its Cuban Haitian Initiative offers special services for Cuban and Haitian refugees and entrants in areas including employment, health, and education. The agency also serves victims of human trafficking, unaccompanied alien children, and survivors of torture. Part of the US Department of Health and Human Services, the ORR has an annual budget of about $740 million.
