Plot

Park Ranger Donald Duck is chewed out by his boss (via telephone) for allowing too many trees to be felled on his watch. Donald is warned that if anything happens to the park's ancient trademark Old Sequoia, he will be fired. Unfortunately, a pack of busy beavers is determined to burrow through Old Sequoia and add it to their kindling collection. The rest of the cartoon finds poor Donald attempting to rout out the beavers with a shotgun, while simulataneouly mollifying his increasingly angry boss. This may be the first American cartoon in which a tree not only explodes, but also "drowns." ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
