Roriz, Olga.b Viana do Castelo, 8 Aug. 1955). Portuguese choreographer. She studied at the National Theatre of San Carlos and National School of Lisbon and in 1976 became one of the leading dancers with Ballet Gulbenkian. She created her first works in the company's workshops in 1982 and went on to develop a style rooted in classical technique but also possessing the driving physicality typical of late-20th-century modern dance.
