1857Love in '76. Bunce's "comedietta" concerns the efforts of the daughter of a Tory Loyalist to protect a captain in the American army who is trapped in her home by British troops. Theatrical historian Arthur Hobson Quinn would consider it "the best of the Revolutionary plays"; it would remain popular until the end of the century.
