Plot

Many world citizens lost some of their respect for America after they learned that while President Ronald Reagan was in office, the U.S. government sold weapons to Iran, in direct contradiction of America's claim that it would never bargain with terrorists. As this video reveals, Lt. Colonel Oliver North attempted to paint a very different picture of these factual events while he testified during the Iran-Contra hearings. This program contains excerpts from North's 1987 testimony before the Select Committee of the U.S. Congress. A skillful advocate on his own behalf, North managed to win over many American citizens. However, others remained more convinced that the Boland Amendment, passed by Congress in 1984, had been knowingly violated. ~ Elizabeth Smith, Rovi
