Plot

Olympiad I Vitt (Olympic Games in White) is the filmed record of the first Winter Olympics. Inasmuch as the games were held in Sweden, it is logical that the principal motivator behind this film would be Svensk Journalfilm. Collaborating with the Swiss-based Condor Films, the people at Svensk were assured a worldwide distribution of their film. Stunningly photographed by a team of top cameramen, Olympiad I Vitt remains one of the best of its kind. Excerpts from the film can be found in the biannual Olympic documentaries of the 1980s and 1990s. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
