Olkhonsky District (Russian: Ольхонский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the thirty-three in Irkutsk Oblast, Russia. Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Yelantsy.[2] Population: 9,440 (2010 Census preliminary results);[4] 8,955 (2002 Census);[7] 8,735 (1989 Census).[8] Population of Yelantsy accounts for 42.0% of the district's population.[7]
