Olof Persson began his career at ABB and, among other assignments, held a number of executive positions at AdTranz and Bombardier.
2004–2006 President, Mainline and Metros Division, at the Canadian company Bombardier.
2006–2008 President and CEO of Volvo Aero
2008–2011 President and CEO of Volvo Construction Equipment in Brussels.
2011- President and CEO of Volvo Group (AB Volvo).
He has been member of Volvo Group Executive Team of AB Volvo since 2006
