The Loing River at Moret-sur-Loing is perfect for canoeing and rowing in small boats. For some scenic houseboating, head upriver to the village of St-Mammès, which sits at the fork in the river where the Loing splits off from the Seine. The shallow Loing splits off again to the Canal Loing, where a system of locks keeps the water level deep enough for houseboats and transporters to float all the way to the Mediterranean Sea.
