Poker Guide: One Pair

Having two cards of the same rank.

SoundPoker Says: In hold'em if you held K-10, and the board showed K-J-9-6-2 (mixed suit) you would have a pair of kings. If both players have one pair the tie break is decided by which player has the higher ranking cards. For example; A pair of queens would beat a pair of tens because queens rank higher than tens.
