History

Khachaturian was born and raised in Los Angeles.

As System of a Down was forming, Daron Malakian asked his friend, Ontronik, (who had played in his first band with Daron at age 15[1]) to join the band as the drummer.[2] He helped write seventeen songs including ten songs off their self-titled, debut album, but left in 1997. He later, in 1999, formed The Apex Theory.

Ontronik left The Apex Theory in November 2002 due to musical differences. After leaving The Apex Theory, Ontronik began a short-lived solo project. Not finding what he was looking for musically, however, Ontronik put his solo project on an indefinite hiatus and founded VoKee in early 2004.
