Oobie (Chicago, Illinois) is an R&B singer signed to Lil' Jon's BME Recordings in conjunction with TVT Records. After appearing on several Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz albums she was set to release her debut album Oobaybi in 2003. In 2003 Oobie was also nominated for Best Solo R&B or Rap New Artist in the 9th Annual Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards. Oobie's album has been pushed back several times but in early 2006 with the announcement that Lil Jon would remain with TVT Records it was also announced Oobie's debut would also be released in late 2006 along with the street single P Control featuring Elephant Man.
