Operation Prairie was a military operation of the Vietnam War near the demilitarized zone. It was a follow-on to Operation Hastings, aimed at eliminating NVA forces south of the DMZ.

During October, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines saw heavy fighting with the NVA 342B division. On the 27th of August, fighting was taken over by 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines. Battles were fought around Mutter's Ridge, the Razorback, (Hills 400 and 484) and the Rockpile.
