Orange Muscat

Apparently unrelated to the muscat family, the orange muscat grape is not well known and is believed to have been grown in the south of France around the village of Orange. There are small plantings in Italy, Australia, and California, where Quady Winery pioneered this variety in its proprietary brand, Essencia.
