Name of a man and a place.

1. One of the two princes of the Midianites captured (along with Zeeb) by the men of Ephraim who executed them and brought their heads to Gideon. Their execution, along with the decisive defeat of the Midianites, became proverbial in Israel.

2. The place where Oreb was killed was called the rock of Oreb. It was probably north of Jericho and west of the Jordan River.
