Review

From the Golden Age of Easy Listening comes this pleasant holiday compilation. All the requisite heavy hitters of light sounds are here: crooners like Nat King Cole, Andy Williams, Perry Como and Johnny Mathis; pop-country heroes like Gene Autry and Burl Ives; and orchestras like Arthur Fiedler's Boston Pops. The disc is most effective because it serves as a bit of a time-capsule of the Eisenhower era pop scene, full of unabashed optimism and holiday cheer. ~ Tim Sheridan, All Music Guide
