Orimattila is a town and municipality of Finland.
It is located in the province of Southern Finland and is part of the Päijänne Tavastia region. The municipality has a population of 14,864 (30 June 2009)[2] and covers an area of 616.97 square kilometres (238.21 sq mi) of which 8.5 km2 (3.3 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 24.43 inhabitants per square kilometre (63.3 /sq mi).
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
