Plot

Director Nikola Tanhofer scored with her 1958 film H 8 at the Pula Film Festival of that year, but this 1959 entry at the same festival did not quite match its predecessor. The drama, like many others at this time, is set during the German occupation of Yugoslavia in World War II. In this dangerous environment, a university professor unwittingly finds himself caught up in some dealings with the political police. How this happens brings some excitement at the beginning, but as his story continues the characters become cliched and the situations repetitious. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi
