Argentinean heavy metal band Ossiris was formed by bassist Mariano Aita and guitarist Maximiliano Porras in 1998. They were soon joined by drummer Santiago Pieraccini and singer/guitarist German Cuendias. The band made its live debut in October of 1999 at Buenos Aires' Lord Byron English Institute, playing under the name of El Sótano. Later they changed their name to Ossiris, based on Egyptian mythology, and started to play original songs such as "Solo Un Minuto Mas" and "No Regresaré." ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
