Otto II, Count of Habsburg

Wikipedia: Otto II, Count of Habsburg

Otto II (died November 8, 1111) was a graf (count) and one of the founding members of the Habsburg family.

He was the son of Werner I, Count of Habsburg. In 1108, Otto accompanied Kaiser Heinrich V on the warpath against Hungary. On his return, in 1111, he was murdered.

He married Hilla von Pfirt (died by 1076).

He had two sons, Werner II, Count of Habsburg and Adelheid.

Otto was probably the first person to adopt the title "von Habsburg".

He was the great-great-great-grandfather of Rudolph I of Germany.
