Oumé is one of the fifty-eight departments of Côte d'Ivoire, located in the Fromager Region, and also the chief city of that department. The city of Oumé is located at around 6°23′N 5°25′W / 6.383°N 5.417°WCoordinates: 6°23′N 5°25′W / 6.383°N 5.417°W.
It is the birthplace of current Chelsea footballer, Salomon Kalou.
Eve (1991 to 1993), Adam (1992 to 1994), and Dave (1993 to 1995) served in the United States Peace Corps in Oumé.
