UK The force that can accelerate at the rate of 1 ft s-2 the mass identified with 1 oz, i.e. the mass accelerated at the rate of g = 32.174 0~ ft s-2 by the force that is the true ounce (more specifically the oz-f, the ‘ounce- force’), hence 1 ozl = 8.640 938~ mN(0.031 081 0~ oz-f) = 1/16 poundal.
