Ourselves and Other Animals: Bonds of Love

  • Genre: Nature
  • Movie Type: Animals
  • Run Time: 27 minutes

Plot

How and what do animals communicate to each other? Is the process similar to the ways in which humans impart information? In this series, the topic of animal communication is explored with naturalist Gerald Durrell and his wife, conservationist Lee Durrell. Ourselves and Other Animals: Bonds of Love looks at the nurturing abilities of certain animals as they care for their young. The ongoing dialog between parent and offspring can mean the difference between survival and death. The devotion of many animal parents can appear to be a strong bond that is very much like the way in which a human parent loves a child. ~ Alice Day, All Movie Guide
