The number of cards remaining in the deck that have yet to be dealt that could potentially improve your hand.

SoundPoker Says: For example ,you have an Ace of spades and an 8 of spades (As,8s), an opponent has a 2 of hearts and a 2 of clubs(2h, 2c), and the board shows a 2 of diamonds, Jack of spades, Queen of spades and 9 of diamonds (2d,Js,Qs, 9d). Any 10 gives you a straight, and any spade gives you a flush. Four 10's remain, and nine spades. One of those spades, 10 of spades, was already accounted for among the 10's. However, two of the spades that make you a flush also improve your opponents three deuces to four of a kind (2 of s) or a full house (9 of spades); thus, including all of the cards that could help or hurt your hand, you have 10 outs.
