This is when a player is dealt a pocket pair and it is higher than any of the cards on the board.

SoundPoker Says: If a player is dealt K - K and the board shows 2 - 5 - 7 - 10 - Q this player would have an over pair. Although this hand may look good he still has to be weary of a player who may have hit two pair or three of a kind.
