Review

Orvill Morgan ("Johnny P") mixed his material between slack tunes such as "Give Man Bun" and "Girls Guide," decent spirituals and political compositions on this set. But dancehall dominated the session, featuring the suggestive, often vulgar fare that has dominated this decade's menu in that arena. P is a competent performer, no great or singular stylist, but able to communicate his messages with authority regardless of context. There was nothing here you couldn't get elsewhere, but it was done professionally and with exuberance. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
