Pac-Man

Games: Pac-Man

Game Description

A startlingly accurate adaptation of the famous arcade classic, Pac-Man for the Intellivision has ghosts that don't blink, a lead character who looks his pie-shaped self, and smooth controls (an accomplishment, considering the maze-unfriendly disc). Even more impressive, the cartridge includes the arcade intermissions, a rarity for early-'80s console gaming. There are minor concessions, such as a smaller maze and the lack of the Galaxian prize (due to copyright restrictions), but this is a killer port nonetheless. Needless to say, it blows away the strangely inept Atari VCS version.

This game is based on the Arcade version of Pac-Man, which was the world's first maze videogame. Prior to its conversion to the Intellivision, Pac-Man was available for the Atari 2600.
