Padasjoki is a municipality of Finland.

It is located in the province of Southern Finland and is part of the Päijänne Tavastia region. The municipality has a population of 3,505 (30 June 2009)[2] and covers an area of 731.26 square kilometres (282.34 sq mi) of which 207.94 km2 (80.29 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 6.7 inhabitants per square kilometre (17 /sq mi).

The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
