Restaurants
Pagliacci maintains several small, neighborhood stores that have pizza available for delivery or pickup. Seating in these stores is very rare.
They also maintain larger locations, mostly notably on the Ave in the University District, Mercer Street on Lower Queen Anne, and on Broadway in Capitol Hill. These larger restaurants include sit down dining and sell pizza by the slice, as well as soups, salads, breadsticks, pasta and full-size pizzas. The Pagliacci on Broadway also serves gelato from Gelatiamo, a downtown gelato "crafter," which is also available for delivery. The restaurants are usually decorated with movie posters in Italian. There are also two Pagliacci on the University of Washington campus.
Style of Pizza
Pagliacci's pizza is thinner, somewhat like New York style as opposed to deep dish Chicago style. They pride themselves on high-quality ingredients and excellent crust. Every pizza is slapped and tossed by hand and cooked in a brick-lined oven.
Toppings
The stores have the usual pizza toppings as well as specialty items that are regularly rotated according to season. They also stock gourmet pizzas, with pears and gorgonzola cheese appearing on the menu, as well as pizzas with artichoke hearts.
The restaurant chain is also noted for their use of Pacific Northwest ingredients. This includes options for pepperoni from Salumi (Seattle's most-famous Charcuterie), Walla Walla sweet onion (served in late summer and early fall), and salmon.
