Sindh

All private plates are yellow with black letters while all the commercial plates are black with white letters and Sindh Government logo on right side. Issued by the Government of Sindh

Pre 1996

Private plates were of the form X-NNNN where 'X' represented an alphabet and 'N' represented a number. All cities issued their own, with the name of the respective city at the bottom of the plate.

Post 1996

After the letters were finished, a new form XXX-NNN was introduced where 'XXX' is a string of alphabets starting AAA and 'NNN' is a string of numbers starting 001, both following a logical order.

Although not officially, the alphabet string can be used to correspond to the year the car was first registered with the government of Sindh, e.g. a car with registration AAB-001 would have been first registered in 1996 while one with AFR-001 in 2004.
