Paläophron und Neoterpe, a short occasional play (Festspiel) of allegorical character, written by Goethe for performance on the birthday of the dowager Duchess Anna Amalia of Weimar, 31 October 1800. Written in a few days, it was published in the Neujahrs-Taschenbuch von Weimar auf das Jahr 1801.
