Biography

British actress of stage and screen Pamela Mason appeared in numerous films of the '50s and '60s. The London-born daughter of film tycoon Isadore Ostrer started her career in the late '30s using her birthname, Pamela Ostrer. She made her film debut in I Met a Murderer in 1939. At the time, she was married to cameraman Roy Kellino. The marriage didn't last, and in 1941 she married actor James Mason. They remained together until 1964. In the '50s she co-hosted her husband's The James Mason Show and went on to host a few talk shows. Following her divorce, Mason became a syndicated columnist on films. She also wrote a few advice books. During the '80s, she returned briefly to television to appear in the movie My Wicked Ways -- The Legend of Errol Flynn (1985). ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
