"Papa Loves Mambo" is a popular song written by Al Hoffman, Dick Manning, and Bix Reichner and published in 1954.
The best-known version was recorded by Perry Como with Hugo Winterhalter's orchestra in New York City on August 31, 1954. The song was released by RCA Victor Records as catalog number 20-5857 (i USA)[1] and by EMI on the His Master's Voice label as catalog number B 10776. The US release peaked at #4 on the Billboard chart in that same year.
This song was most recently recorded in 2008 by Australian singer Alfio for his album Classic Rewinds in tribute to Perry Como and 14 other popular Italian-American singers.
