Biography

Originally formed out of the ashes of Winnipeg-based B'ehl, three of the bandmembers attempted to create new music as another band. The three recruited Heather Campbell, formerly of Bossanova, to complement their own material with an '80s new wave vibe. As a result, Paper Moon began performing around Winnipeg in early 2001, with their first show opening for Robert Schneider of the Apples in Stereo. In 2001, Paper Moon entered the studio and began work on their first debut album. The album, One Thousand Reasons to Stay...One Reason to Leave, was released on Endearing Records in June 2002. The band also released a six-song EP on Quince Records in Japan titled All Your Little Dreams. Paper Moon has performed at various musical showcases including the North by Northeast Festival. ~ Jason MacNeil, All Music Guide
