The Paraíba Valley (Portuguese: Vale do Paraíba) is a micro-region of the eastern part of the state of São Paulo. It is located within rodovia Presidente Dutra (BR-101), between Rio De Janeiro and São Paulo.

The region forms the hydrographical basin of rio Paraíba do Sul, that flows down to Rio De Janeiro.

This region includes the highly developed industrial park and the space station.[citation needed] Its cities of the valley are São José dos Campos, Taubaté, Jacareí, Lorena, Pindamonhangaba, Cruzeiro and Guaratinguetá.
