Pardirallus is a genus of bird in the rail family, Rallidae. It contains three species found in marshland in South and Central America and the West Indies.[2] They are 25–38 cm long and have a long greenish bill and reddish legs. The Spotted Rail is blackish-brown with white markings while the other two are brown above and dark grey below.[2]
It contains the following species:
- Spotted Rail (Pardirallus maculatus)
- Blackish Rail (Pardirallus nigricans)
- Plumbeous Rail (Pardirallus sanguinolentus)
