pardon (Presidential)


The US President may issue proclamations that have the force of law, freeing individuals from the legal consequences of any crime except impeachment. 1974 President Gerald Ford pardoned Richard Nixon, preventing any prosecutions for crimes that may have been committed by Nixon during his Presidency.
