Paree, Paree (1934) is a black and white Vitaphone musical short starring Bob Hope and Dorothy Stone. Cole Porter wrote the lyrics and music for this musical comedy short. This was the fifth film for which Cole Porter was credited for writing the music, at the age of 43, and Bob Hope's second short film.

Plot

A wealthy man (Bob Hope) makes a bet with his friends that he could win a girl (Dorothy Stone) without her knowing of his riches.

Songs

Some of the songs in this short were first used in the 1929 Broadway musical called Fifty Million Frenchmen, then in the 1931 film adaptation of Fifty Million Frenchman, which was filmed in full color by Technicolor. Three years after the movie Fifty Million Frenchmen was released, four songs from the Broadway musical and movie were used in this short.
