Paris Foreign Missions Society
The Society of Foreign Missions of Paris (French: Missions Étrangères de Paris, short M.E.P.) is a Roman Catholic missionary order. It was established 1658-63 by the Bishops François Pallu and Lambert de la Motte, who were assigned to Far East Asia by Pope Alexander VII.
In 1663 a house in the Rue de Bac in Paris was opened for the education of new missionaries. It is still the centre of the order.
