Review

Paris Is Burning is yet another reissue of the Dolls' 1974 Paris performance. The sound is rough in places (David Johansen's vocals are almost lost on "Personality Crisis") and it's a typically ragged live set, as well, but since there were no "official" live recordings of the band, it's a valuable snapshot for diehard fans. However, before checking out Paris Is Burning, one should already own both New York Dolls and Too Much Too Soon at the very least. ~ Sean Westergaard, All Music Guide
